Our History
Doxa Youth Programs and Family Care was established in 2007 by Thembani Gqiba and his associates with a vision to support and uplift families and communities. What began as a small initiative has grown into a well-respected organization providing a wide range of social development services. Over the years, Doxa has expanded its reach and impact, continually evolving to meet the needs of those it serves.
Our Founder Thembani Gqiba, along with a dedicated team of associates, founded Doxa Youth Programs and Family Care with a commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of families at risk. Thembani's vision and leadership have been instrumental in shaping Doxa's growth and success.

Doxa Youth Programs and Family care It is an intervention and family prevention program that is both culturally responsive and community based, the program adopts a multi-level equitability norms and community advocacy approach to transform masculinities by changing attituted and behavious that perpetuate gender based violance.
DOXA assists families towards achieveing economic success – as their ability to provide for the basic needs of themselves and their memmbers and the neccesary degree of self-suffeciency and self relience.
DOXA has earned recognation as an institution of repute by receiving various awards from the department of social development both nationally and provibcially.
DOXA strengthens individuals family members and communities through educational programs, awareness campaigns, counselling and shelter for gender-based violence victims, mentoring and parenting skills.
The organization has contributed in the development of national fatherhood strategy and establishment of the district men’s sector GBV Forum and positve mascilinity program at Nelson Mandela Univesity.
Our Mission To create a safe space where participants can freely express their hopes and fears, supporting each other towards a safer and healthier livelihood. We achieve this by providing physical care (food and clothes), education (formal and vocational), counseling, emotional well-being, and moral and spiritual discipleship.
Our Vision To provide opportunities for families to function and fulfill their purpose.
Our Contributions Doxa has significantly contributed to the development of national fatherhood strategies and the establishment of district men's sector GBV forums. Additionally, our Positive Masculinity Program at Nelson Mandela University is a testament to our dedication to fostering healthy behaviors and attitudes in men and boys.
